Nebraska Dairy Princess to be Crowned March 12

The Nebraska State Dairy Convention will feature the coronation of a new Nebraska Dairy Princess Tuesday, March 12, at Divots Convention Center. The event is part of the evening banquet beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Students and staff at Palmer Lake Elementary in Brooklyn Park, Golden Hill Learning Center in Rochester and Bridgewater Elementary in Northfield are ready to show some purple pride! Because of their enthusiastic efforts in the Fuel Up to Play 60 program’s Super Bowl Breakfast Challenge, they have been awarded visits from Minnesota Vikings player and 2012 Pro Bowl MVP, Kyle Rudolph on Thursday, February 28 and Friday, March 1.

Across Minnesota, counties are currently seeking dairy princess candidates and in many parts of the state, that means applications, a contest and a banquet. But in other areas, it may mean one young woman simply needs to speak up and offer her time and enthusiasm to the role.
