Midwest Dairy Association Announces Internship in Illinois

Midwest Dairy Association’s Industry Relations team has announced the availability of a paid internship in Springfield, Illinois for the summer of 2013. Applications are due March 4, 2013.

Illinois Scholarships Available to Dairy Families

Students from dairy farm families in Illinois who contribute to Midwest Dairy Association through the dairy checkoff are eligible to apply for scholarships offered by the organization.

Students at Ridge Family Center for Learning, national winner of the Fuel Up to Play 60 Casting Call Challenge, were rewarded today for their exemplary efforts to eat healthy and get active, when Bears quarterback Jason Campbell, center/guard Roberto Garza and cornerback Charles "Peanut" Tillman made a special visit to the Elk Grove Village elementary school.

February 2013 Highlights

The St. Louis Rams Rewards Training Camp will reward students and program advisors from Fuel Up to Play 60 schools that accomplish specific goals. The event is scheduled for April 19 at the Rams Training Park in the St. Louis area. Students from eastern Missouri and western Illinois will be eligible to attend the day-long event, which will feature activities to reinforce the importance of nutrition and physical activity, an opportunity to share successes from their schools with others, and a cur

January 2013 Highlights

We begin the New Year energized by the growing participation in Fuel Up to Play 60. We have enthusiasm for the Breakfast Blitz (mentioned above) in Illinois! The importance of breakfast is highlighted in the Top 2013 Trends of the Lempert Report.

December 2012 Highlights

On Dec. 13, winning Fuel Up to Play 60 program advisors and school supporters gathered at the home of the Chicago Bears, Halas Hall, for a special private event. The reward was for schools that met certain criteria for success with the program. A live radio broadcast featured two Bears players, Chris Conte and Gabe Carimi, and dairy producer Scott Halpin greeting folks and making a milk toast.
