McCarty Family Farms of Rexford, Kan., was named the 2013 Innovative Dairy Farmer of the Year during an awards ceremony today at the International Dairy Foods Association's Dairy Forum in Orlando, Fla.
Midwest Dairy Association Awards Scholarships to Kansas Students
Midwest Dairy Association has awarded scholarships to eight Kansas students with dairy backgrounds. Ashley Haverkamp of Seneca, Julie Kohake of Centralia, Weston Ohlde of Linn, Stacy Rottinghaus of Topeka, Austin Schmitz of Axtell, Andrea Steenbock of Longford, Joshua Steinlage of Goff and Roxanne Wallace of Tipton each received a $500 scholarship.

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Tony Moeaki has filmed seven videos to utilize in schools in support of Fuel Up to Play 60. The videos offer a fun way for the NFL player to encourage students to become engaged in the program in their schools. Much of the video content focuses on the importance of breakfast.
