Kansas Governor Sam Brownback Signed Proclamation on Statewide Commitment to Child Health and Wellness

Today, Kansas Governor Sam Brownback signed a proclamation declaring the day "Fuel Up to Play 60" Day in recognition of the statewide commitment to child health and wellness at Wilbur Middle School in Wichita.

Midwest Dairy Awards Kansas City Division Scholarships

Midwest Dairy Association has announced the nine Kansas City Division winners of the Midwest Dairy Educational Award, a $500 scholarship for college expenses.

May 2012 Highlights

On April 13, Midwest Dairy Council and the Kansas City Chiefs helped reward Queen of the Holy Rosary in Bucyrus for being selected as the Kansas winner of Fuel Up to Play 60's Cooking Show Challenge. The school celebrated with special guests, including Kansas City Chiefs tight end, #81 Tony Moeaki, KC Wolf and Kansas dairy producer and Mo-Kan Division board member Lynda Foster of Fort Scott.

April 2012 Highlights

Your Health and Wellness program manager working in Kansas, Bridget Sheehan, is acting as the Dairy Council liaison to the Kansas Action for Healthy Kids board. In that role, she has been busy helping to plan the upcoming Spring Into Fitness 5K/Fun Run scheduled for Saturday, April 28.

March 2012 Highlights

After signing the Fuel Up to Play 60 Certificate of Support in November of 2011, Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) staff has been busy brainstorming ways to increase Fuel Up to Play 60's presence in Kansas.
