National Dairy Council, Midwest Dairy Council and National Football League Reward Reeds Spring Middle School for Drafting Students to Lead Fuel Up to Play 60 Program

Jamaal Charles, running back for the Kansas City Chiefs, will take part in an assembly at Reeds Spring Middle School Gymnasium on Monday, May 13 at 2 p.m. to reward the school for being selected as a national winner of the Fuel Up to Play 60 Student Ambassador Draft and to recognize the students’ efforts to eat healthy and stay active.

Missouri’s Governor Nixon Supports Fuel Up to Play 60

Missouri Governor Jay Nixon yesterday signed a proclamation recognizing Fuel Up to Play 60 for its efforts in encouraging students to eat healthy and be active. Fuel Up to Play 60 is an in-school nutrition and physical activity program that encourages students to make positive changes in their schools by improving opportunities to consume nutrient-rich foods and to get at least 60 minutes of physical activity daily.

St. Louis Rams Players to Visit Rogers Middle School to Reward Them as Winners of the Fuel Up To Play 60 National Touchdown Dance Challenge

Rogers Middle School will celebrate winning the Fuel Up To Play 60 National Touchdown Dance Challenge on Tuesday, November 20 with a visit from St. Louis Rams running back, Steven Jackson, and kicker, Greg Zuerlein. Rogers' students Reja Franklin and Maria Stoencheva helped their school earn national recognition by submitting a video of their signature touchdown dance to FuelUpToPlay60.com.

February 2013 Highlights

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Tony Moeaki has filmed seven videos to utilize in schools in support of Fuel Up to Play 60. The videos offer a fun way for the NFL player to encourage students to become engaged in the program in their schools. Much of the video content focuses on the importance of breakfast. Moeaki also wanted to send a video “thank you” to dairy producers for their support of Fuel Up to Play 60.

January 2013 Highlights

Missouri Governor Jay Nixon is the ninth governor in Midwest Dairy territory to recognize Fuel Up to Play 60, the dairy checkoff’s partnership with the National Football League designed to help kids eat right, get active and have an impact on childhood obesity.

December 2012 Highlights

On December 4, the St. Louis Rams' Continuity X Training Center was filled with 120 enthusiastic students from Fuel Up to Play 60 schools around the metro-St. Louis/central Illinois area.
