The NFL Alumni Association, Midwest Dairy Council and Valley City Jr./Sr. High Salute North Dakota’s 2012 Fuel Up to Play 60 Program Advisors of the Year

Three enthusiastic leaders at Valley City Jr./Sr. High School have been named Fuel Up to Play 60 Program Advisors of the Year for North Dakota. Beth Beckers, Food and Consumer Science teacher, Sue Milender, School Nutrition Director, and Trevor Bakalar, Physical Education teacher, co-lead the school’s Fuel Up to Play 60 Program. They take an active leadership role in encouraging students to eat healthy, get active and make a difference.

66th North Dakota Dairy Princess Contest Scheduled

The Midwest Dairy Association North Dakota Division is seeking candidates for this year’s North Dakota Dairy Princess contest on June 20 and 21 in Bismarck.

North Dakota Governor Pledges Committment to Child Health and Wellness

Today, North Dakota Governor Jack Dalrymple pledged his support to the Fuel Up to Play 60 program, an in-school health and wellness program that encourages youth to consume nutrient-rich foods and achieve 60 minutes of physical activity every day.

May 2012 Highlights

On Thursday, April 19, North Dakota Governor Jack Dalrymple pledged his support to the Fuel Up to Play 60 program by signing the Certificate of Support in a public ceremony at the State Capitol.

April 2012 Highlights

Viktor, the Minnesota Vikings mascot, made his way to North Dakota earlier this month for two exciting events. He gave an energetic presentation called "Fuel Up to Play 60 with Viktor" at Cheney Middle School in West Fargo, inspiring more than 500 students to eat healthy and be active.

March 2012 Highlights

Students at Cheney Middle School in West Fargo have been awarded an all-school "Viktor the Viking" assembly from Midwest Dairy Council as a reward for their extensive accomplishments with Fuel Up to Play 60.

North Dakota Dairy Princess

The North Dakota Dairy Princess program is the longest-running one in the United States, initiated in 1946. The princess, who serves as a goodwill ambassador for the state's dairy farmers, makes media appearances, talks with children about being healthy through consuming dairy products every day, and visits with consumers in various settings.
