Three enthusiastic leaders at Valley City Jr./Sr. High School have been named Fuel Up to Play 60 Program Advisors of the Year for North Dakota. Beth Beckers, Food and Consumer Science teacher, Sue Milender, School Nutrition Director, and Trevor Bakalar, Physical Education teacher, co-lead the school’s Fuel Up to Play 60 Program. North Dakota Dairy Princess
The North Dakota Dairy Princess program is the longest-running one in the United States, initiated in 1946. The princess, who serves as a goodwill ambassador for the state's dairy farmers, makes media appearances, talks with children about being healthy through consuming dairy products every day, and visits with consumers in various settings.
