Arkansas Highlights

Midwest Dairy has secured a commitment from the Arkansas Department of Human Services summer feeding director, Buster Lackey, allowing Midwest Dairy to distribute toolkits to 10 different summer feeding sites across Arkansas this summer. Toolkits will include items like flyers, yard signs, coolers for milk and fun incentives.

Midwest Dairy recently secured support for Fuel Up to Play 60 from the Arkansas Dietetics Association. We are sponsoring Ann Marie Krautheim, a dietitian from National Dairy Council, to speak at the group’s annual meeting in Little Rock this April. We also sponsored a fruit and cheese tray for the Central Arkansas Dietetics Association holiday reception with 35 registered dietitians in attendance in December.

A news conference at the Arkansas Governor's Mansion in Little Rock earlier this fall celebrated a first successful year of No Kid Hungry, geared toward combating childhood hunger in Arkansas. Midwest Dairy Council was among the partners recognized for having helped contributed to a shared goal.
