We mentioned last month that Kansas City Chiefs mascot KC Wolf and Chiefs former wide receiver Eddie Kennison spent a day with dairy producer Steve Strickler on his farm in Iola, Kan. It was a video shoot set up as part of a new Fuel Up to Play 60 school assembly program hosted by KC Wolf. In the video, Steve shows how dairy farm families work every day to provide fresh, wholesome and nutritious milk for all to enjoy.

On November 3, Kansas Governor Sam Brownback signed a proclamation reflecting statewide commitment to child health and wellness. At a school-wide assembly at Wilbur Middle School in Wichita, the Governor signed a proclamation declaring the day "Fuel Up to Play 60" Day.

This month, in celebration of the new school year and the second full year of Fuel Up to Play 60, your registered dietitian serving Kansas, Steph Cundith, appeared on KAKE 10 in Wichita and Fox 4 in Kansas City to talk to families about the importance of fueling up with breakfast.
