Minnesota Highlights

Plans are moving forward for a Minnesota Vikings/Midwest Dairy Fuel Up to Play 60 Training Day for 200 student leaders and 60 adult program advisors. The date is Monday, April 23, at Mall of America Field at the Metrodome. Thirty eligible schools will be selected based upon their level of engagement in the Fuel Up to Play 60 program. Industry partners and dairy producers will be invited to witness Fuel Up to Play 60 in action.

I am pleased to inform you that Barb Luehmann, whom many of you know, will be more involved with Industry Relations at Midwest Dairy in 2012. Barb has been with Midwest Dairy Association for more than 30 years and is very knowledgeable regarding the programs that are executed both regionally and nationally.

Over the summer, as part of the Minnesota "Fuel Up For Summer Fun" incentive package for Summer Feeding sites, Midwest Dairy offered a HOPSport experience for sites that completed their midpoint survey. The HOPSports system is an interactive dance and activity video designed for large groups.
