Iowa Dairy Princess
The contest happens every August in Des Moines - on the night before the Iowa State Fair begins. Once chosen, winners help tell the public about the dedication dairy farm families have to producing wholesome products for consumers, and how committed those families are to responsible animal care and environmental stewardship.
They also help tell audiences, especially children, how important 3 Every Day of Dairy is to good health.

Iowa Dairy Princess News
As a traditional prelude to the opening of the Iowa State Fair, the new Iowa Dairy Princess will be crowned on Wednesday night, Aug. 8, at 8 p.m. at the Multi-Media Center of the Cattle Barn at the state fairgrounds in Des Moines. Nine young women involved with the dairy community across the state are competing for the 59th title.
Logan Worden, 19, of Oelwein was crowned the 59th Iowa Dairy Princess at the Iowa State Fairgrounds on the eve of the fair’s opening (Wed., Aug. 8). Worden, daughter of Dennis and Joan Worden, will use the title to make connections with consumers over the coming year, helping them to understand the dedication of dairy farm families as they take care of their cows and farms.
