On November 3, Kansas Governor Sam Brownback signed a proclamation reflecting statewide commitment to child health and wellness. At a school-wide assembly at Wilbur Middle School in Wichita, the Governor signed a proclamation declaring the day "Fuel Up to Play 60" Day.
September 2011 Highlights
This month, in celebration of the new school year and the second full year of Fuel Up to Play 60, your registered dietitian serving Kansas, Steph Cundith, appeared on KAKE 10 in Wichita and Fox 4 in Kansas City to talk to families about the importance of fueling up with breakfast.
July 2011 Highlights
Midwest Dairy Council recently sponsored a Fuel Up to Play 60-themed breakfast and an exhibit booth at the Kansas Academy of Family Physicians annual conference in Wichita. In an effort to further engage Kansas physicians in Fuel Up to Play 60, a survey was conducted with booth visitors to assess knowledge of the program and interest in opportunities for involvement.
