Midwest Dairy Minnesota District Meetings Begin Jan. 5
Midwest Dairy Association’s Minnesota Division District annual meetings begin Jan. 5, in conjunction with county American Dairy Association (ADA) meetings. Midwest Dairy Council and the Minnesota Vikings are teaming up as part of a national movement to improve youth health and wellness. I am pleased to inform you that Barb Luehmann, whom many of you know, will be more involved with Industry Relations at Midwest Dairy in 2012. Barb has been with Midwest Dairy Association for more than 30 years and is very knowledgeable regarding the programs that are executed both regionally and nationally.
September 2011 Highlights
Over the summer, as part of the Minnesota "Fuel Up For Summer Fun" incentive package for Summer Feeding sites, Midwest Dairy offered a HOPSport experience for sites that completed their midpoint survey. The HOPSports system is an interactive dance and activity video designed for large groups.
July 2011 Highlights
Midwest Dairy sponsored two pre-conference workshops at the Minnesota School Nutrition Association meeting in St. Cloud last month. “Fuel Up to Play 60: Making Wellness Part of the Game Plan” was presented back-to-back to more than 130 attendees.

Princess Kay of the Milky Way
The young woman who serves as Minnesota's state dairy princess wears the title of Princess Kay of the Milky Way, a name selected in a Department of Agriculture contest over fifty years ago.
