December 2011 Highlights
Midwest Dairy hosted a Kansas City Chief's tailgate party for students from two elementary schools in Lee's Summit, Missouri. The chilly Sunday night game of the Chiefs and the Pittsburgh Steelers was November 27 and was part of a reward for the school district receiving breakfast grants from General Mills.
September 2011 Highlights
The Missouri State Fair has come and gone with some cooler weather, a few stormy nights and some great highlights. The 2011 butter cow weighed in at 862 pounds and was inspired by the famous artist Rodin's "The Thinker." Local Sedalia artist, Janice Hargrave, along with her brother Scott, completed the task in eight days and have already started to think about next year’s inspiration.
July 2011 Highlights
Eddie Kennison, former NFL and Chiefs player, was recently trained to be an ambassador for Midwest Dairy and Fuel Up to Play 60. He stopped by the Overland Park office this summer and joined the staff for lunch. The staff enjoyed visiting with Eddie and talking about his two kids, his post-NFL journey and the Fuel Up to Play 60 program.
