Midwest Dairy North Dakota District Meetings Scheduled with Cow College Sessions

Midwest Dairy Association’s North Dakota Division District annual meetings are scheduled January 30 - Feb. 3, in conjunction with North Dakota State University Extension Cow College events.

Midwest Dairy to be Missed at N.D. State Fair

Hampered by the flooding in Minot that led to suspension of some of the North Dakota State Fair’s activities, Midwest Dairy Association’s North Dakota Division has decided they will not be on site with a Malt Wagon at the Fair this year.

65th North Dakota Dairy Princess Hails from Anamoose

Rachael Rott, an 18-year-old dairy enthusiast from Anamoose, was crowned North Dakota’s 65th State Dairy Princess today (Thurs., June 23) in Bismarck.

North Dakota Highlights

December 2011 Highlights

Five North Dakota Schools recently received a total of $17,750 from Midwest Dairy to help fund their Fuel Up to Play 60 projects. Schools receiving funding this fall are Cheney Middle School and STEM Center in West Fargo,South Middle School in Grand Forks, Ben Franklin Middle School in Fargo and Stanley Elementary in Stanley.

September 2011 Highlights

Stanley Elementary School in Stanley is home of the North Dakota Fuel Up to Play 60 Program Advisor of the Year. Elonda Davidson is a physical education teacher and has been an inspiration and motivator to her students to get involved in numerous Fuel Up to Play 60 projects.

July 2011 Highlights

One of our focuses this year is to ask state level professional organizations for their support in promoting and activating Fuel Up to Play 60. The North Dakota Dietetic Association is the first organization in North Dakota and the first dietetic association in the Midwest to sign the Certificate of Support for Fuel Up to Play 60.

North Dakota Dairy Princess

The North Dakota Dairy Princess program is the longest-running one in the United States, initiated in 1946. The princess, who serves as a goodwill ambassador for the state's dairy farmers, makes media appearances, talks with children about being healthy through consuming dairy products every day, and visits with consumers in various settings.
