December 2011 Highlights
More than 180 people attended two Fuel Up to Play 60 End of Season Football Bashes at the SDSU Dykhouse Center and on the USD campus in November. Each day was a celebration for the Fuel Up to Play 60 program and the new Yippin' Yotes Kids Club at USD and the Junior Jacks Kids Club at SDSU.
September 2011 Highlights
The South Dakota Dietetic Association annual conference in Rapid City includes a presentation by your registered dietitian, Dawn Conrad. She is requesting support for Fuel Up to Play 60 and discussing ways to activate the program in each dietitian’s school and community.
July 2011 Highlights
Dawn Conrad, your Health and Wellness staff member in South Dakota, has met with the state’s School Nurses Association to request support for the Fuel Up to Play 60 program. The topic is on the group’s agenda for September. Midwest Dairy sponsored a lunch focusing on Fuel Up to Play 60 at the group’s annual conference, and provided information in their registration bags.

South Dakota Dairy Princess
The South Dakota Dairy Princess has served as the state's official goodwill ambassador for the dairy industry for 55 years. The dairy princess typically makes appearances at consumer events, provides media interviews and helps to inform people about dairy farmers' dedication to their work, as well as communicating the importance of dairy products in our diet.
