Dairy Has High Visibility at South Dakota State Fair

If you don’t see dairy’s presence at the South Dakota State Fair, you’ve probably spent most of your time on the midway. Beyond the cows that are among the exhibits in the barn, the state’s dairy farmers take their involvement at the fair pretty seriously.
Illinois Governor Pledges Commitment to Child Health and Wellness

Illinois Governor Pat Quinn today signed a pledge to support Fuel Up to Play 60, an in-school health and wellness program that encourages youth to consume nutrient-rich foods and to achieve 60 minutes of physical activity every day. Timed to coincide with the new school year, the special event was held in the historic Dairy Building at the Illinois State Fair as part of “Agriculture Day.”
Dairy Goodness Bar Adds New Tastes to Popular Dairy Line-up

You’ve had cheese curds at the Minnesota State Fair, but never like this: The Dairy Goodness Bar, located in the Dairy Building, will now serve fresh cheese curds in two delicious flavors, white cheddar and zesty cheddar. The 4-oz. bags will cost $3.
