66th North Dakota Dairy Princess is Crowned

Marissa Leier, daughter of Larry and Rosalind Leier, was crowned North Dakota’s 66th State Dairy Princess today (June 21) in Bismarck. Leier is 19 years old and comes from Hague.

Midwest Dairy Association Awards Four Illinois Scholarships

The Illinois Division of Midwest Dairy Association has awarded four scholarships to students with dairy backgrounds. Kalli Berning of Galena, Angela Hildebrandt of South Beloit, Michele Hoppman of Galena and Serena Lawfer of Kent are the 2012 scholarship recipients.

The Illinois Division of Midwest Dairy Association has welcomed an intern for the summer. Sara Haag of Cullom, Ill., began work May 21 and will serve through August 24, assisting with the organization’s work in industry relations and dairy farmer image.
